Our Commitment to Authentic Indigenous Representation

As an Indigenous-owned photography business, we are dedicated to capturing and sharing authentic images of Indigenous people with integrity, respect, and cultural responsibility. We acknowledge that Indigenous nations across Turtle Island are diverse, each with their own distinct traditions, histories, and identities. Our images do not claim to represent all nations, nor do we engage in pan-Indigenous portrayals.

We uphold the highest cultural standards by ensuring that:

The individuality and sacredness of each nation are honored.

When artwork is featured in our images, we credit the artists whenever possible.

Our models are verified Indigenous individuals, with status cards on record where applicable.

We compensate our models both for their sitting sessions and per download, practicing our values of reciprocity and respect.

Our goal is to celebrate Indigenous identities through photography while maintaining respect for the unique expressions of each nation. We invite you to explore our collection with the understanding that our work is rooted in cultural integrity, reciprocity, and respect for all Indigenous communities.

I am joined by my non-Indigenous husband, Jim, who has spent the past 20 years working alongside Indigenous Nations. His work has included outreach with the Friendship Centre, mentoring Indigenous youth, documenting Nation stories, and collaborating with Elders to preserve language for First Voices. Together, we form a creative team, with me overseeing cultural protocols, set design, and being the on-camera presence. We take great pride in ensuring that all our photos and videos are authentically created, without the use of AI.
